田横岛祭海活动已经有500多年历史了。每年的3月18日，这里都要举行隆重的祭海仪式，渔民们杀猪，做各种各样的馒头作供品，已求海神能够给他们带来收获和平安。这个日子，比过年还热闹，男女老少聚集在海滩，敲锣打鼓，燃放鞭炮，还要请来戏班唱大戏，一唱几天。
Sacrificial ceremony to the sea was holding on March 18th each year on the TianHeng Island. With a five-hundred –year history the local people offering sacrifices as pigs and other tribute to the sea god to pray for the next year’s harvest and peace. |
