每逢农历八月初一，浙江浦江县郑宅镇广场上举行着一年一度的“戏水龙”活动。数条“水龙”在村民们的呐喊声中，向天空喷射着水柱。 “戏水龙”的活动源于明朝，由于一场大火毁烧毁了郑宅大院，郑氏后人便发明了这样一种能灭火的“水龙”：在木桶里装满了水，靠杠杆两端的人工压力，将水从金属管中喷射出来灭火，郑宅人称这种土制的灭火器材为“水龙”。以后，每个村里都有一到两个水龙由专人保管，每年要操练一下试试水龙，于是渐渐的变成一个当地的民俗活动。
This water dragon day dates back to the Ming Dynasty. The water dragon is a metal pipe invented to put out a fire at that time. Years after years, this performance has been handed down and on the first day of August of the lunar calendar the villagers will take out the water dragon to have a practice. |
